FE24: Investigating how using ICT software could help English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) students to improve speaking and pronunciation
Author: Clare Mclaughlin Barking College
Date: 2005
Summary
This study investigates the use of recording and listening software with ESOL students. Clare found that students generally preferred teacher-led drilling to computer-based exercises. However, she felt that the computer-based exercises were potentially useful for students wishing to work independently. She also emphasised the need for technical support when using technology in classrooms.
