G2: Supporting digital video: some lessons learnt
Author: Tim Morgan, Barking College
Date: 2005
Initially, the project introduced high quality filming and editing resources which were found to be time consuming and generated low levels of take up. The introduction of low-tech equipment and short group training sessions encouraged greater use of video for particular needs, such as self- and peer-evaluation for English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) students. In addition, the editing equipment has been useful for extracting clips from television documentaries that can be dropped into presentation software.
