G4: Collaboration between content developers and teaching staff within a college
Author: Bashir Mulla, Interactive Syllabus and Content Developer, Barking College, Barking and Dagenham
Date: 2005
This is a short description and evaluation of an integrated collaboration model in which the content developer and the teacher work together to study a syllabus, analyse requirements and define a solution which the developer then realises. The process is a good opportunity to make teachers aware of other learning materials, as teachers tend to have a limited awareness of what is currently possible. However, time constraints and specific technical difficulties can form a barrier to progress.
