FE3: Designing small-scale workshops to introduce new technology (digital cameras) in a community learning centre
Author: Alan Skinner, Crook Community Learning Centre, County Durham
Date: 2005
Alan describes the process of running small workshops to introduce people to digital photography. He argues that it is the responsibility of effective tutors to provide support which can overcome resistant attitudes to technology. Digital photography is an attractive starter course, he notes, as by avoiding the cost of film and processing it is more cost-effective than traditional photography.
